Guru purnima

Guru Purnima
Guru Purnima is a significant Hindu and Buddhist festival celebrated in honor of spiritual and academic teachers. It typically falls on the full moon day (Purnima) in the Hindu month of Ashadha (June-July) as per the Hindu calendar.

The word "Guru" in Sanskrit means "teacher" or "spiritual guide," and "Purnima" means "full moon." Guru Purnima is observed as a day to express gratitude and reverence towards one's teachers, mentors, and gurus.

On this day, disciples pay homage to their teachers and seek their blessings. They express their gratitude and respect by offering flowers, fruits, and other tokens of appreciation. Students may also perform traditional rituals, chant prayers, and listen to discourses or teachings from their gurus.
