Their marriage is celebrated as Sital Sasthi, which symbolizes the union of divine forces and is considered highly auspicious by devotees.

The celebration of Sital Sasthi is elaborate and vibrant, especially in the city of Sambalpur. The festival involves a unique ritual where a human couple symbolically represents the divine couple and gets married in a grand ceremony. This couple is selected from among the devotees, and they perform the role with great devotion and reverence.
